ATCS is striving to be a national leader in swimming pool management training. Our company is partnering with Health Departments across the country to bring qualified swimming pool operators to our community swimming facilities.

Professional Swimming Pool Operator Handbook
This updated 2020 version of The Professional Swimming Pool Operator Manual contains everything students will need for the class and final exam. The manual has been updated to match the 2018 National Model Aquatic Health Codes. The instructor will lead the students through the book chapter by chapter together as the course progresses!
Students are encouraged to download the book prior to class and print it out in order to take notes during the presentation.

Health Departments wishing to review the test questions please feel free to contact our staff.
PSPO Exam
First-time pool operator candidates are required to take a 100-question exam and receive a 75% or better on the test to receive their certificate. Examinations are conducted at the conclusion of the curriculum, and students are given two hours to complete the test. Examinations are given either in-person or through an online testing service. The exam is based on the 2018 National Model Aquatic Health Codes.
PSPO Review Exam
ATCS Professional Swimming Pool Operators are required to attend a 4-hour review course every three years. At the conclusion of the continuing education class, students must complete a 25-question exam and receive a 75% or better on the test to receive their certificate. Examinations are given either in-person or through an online testing service. The exam is based on the 2018 National Model Aquatic Health Codes.
Example Certificate
At the conclusion of each class, students receive their hand-signed certificates by postal mail. These certifications generally go out within 24-hours of completion and can be taken to their local health department to receive their card or can remain with them at their facility if cards are not issued by their local jurisdiction.

Aquatic Training & Consulting Service is recognized on the CDC's Health Swimming Website as an approved provider of swimming pool operation instruction.
